What makes a strong submission
- A specific reader question. State the problem the article answers and who it helps.
- Original work. Submit material you wrote and have permission to share. Tell us if it has appeared elsewhere.
- Checkable sources. Link to relevant standards, regulator guidance, manufacturer documentation, or research. Identify editions and jurisdiction where they affect the advice.
- Clear limits. State assumptions, equipment ratings, operating conditions, and where a conclusion may not apply.
- Responsible safety coverage. Identify when qualified personnel, site procedures, or manufacturer instructions are required. Do not present general guidance as approval for a particular installation.
- Useful visuals. Include diagrams, photographs, or records only when you own them or have permission. Provide captions and remove confidential or identifying details where needed.
Keep it technical and transparent
Write in clear English and use the length needed to answer the question. Explain acronyms, show units, and distinguish measured results from assumptions or illustrative examples.
Disclose employer, manufacturer, commercial, or other relationships relevant to the topic. Product references should help explain the engineering, rather than turn the article into a sales pitch. We do not accept submissions whose main purpose is promotional link placement.
If you use AI tools, disclose how you used them and verify every technical claim and citation. Do not invent test results, field experience, qualifications, sources, or reviewer identities. Label generated or illustrative images accurately.
Send a proposal first
Email support@ohele.com with the subject OHELE article proposal and include:
- Your proposed title and a short summary
- The intended reader and the question you will answer
- A brief outline and key sources
- Your name or publishing name, relevant background, and any conflicts of interest
- Any original visuals, data, or experience you can contribute, with their source and permissions
A short proposal is enough to start. Please do not send confidential site records, personal data, or material you are not authorised to disclose.
What happens next
We assess proposals for relevance, originality, clarity, sourcing, and safety. We may ask for revisions or additional evidence. Sending a proposal does not guarantee acceptance, publication, a publication date, or any particular link placement.
Before an accepted contribution is published, we will agree its attribution, publication permissions, and any payment terms with the contributor. We will not attribute a contributor’s work to someone else without agreement.
